( so many people had thought it strange where she'd been housed given where she'd come from -- a muggle born sorted into slytherin. it had taken lilith quite some time to find her station and despite her cunning, the clever way she had with both her words and natural magical talent-- well, her first couple of years at hogwarts had not been the easiest.
she was now in her fifth year, chosen as prefect, working hard for her owls that always seemed just around the corner. no one ever really saw her study but her homework grades and quizzes had always made that belief a little odd. charms were her speciality, a hex coming easier to her than anything though really it would be hard to find an area of magic that she really struggled in.
well, that she visibly showed. there was one, something that had her out on the school grounds late at night, blanket around her shoulders, book and wand by her, out of bed far later than she should have been. but astronomy managed to elude her, something that she had enough of a grasp on to pass but not something lilith felt comfortable enough with and out of everything comfort in her magic was something she prided herself on.
her wand was lit to read her book, comparing the stars of the night sky to those on the pages before her, keeping a careful ear out for anyone that may discover her. she was a prefect, in a precarious position but she was also very determined )
