I think there's a way we could swing the turbolift without getting caught.

I could cause a 'scheduled' failure... we'd be on a time limit whilst the repair happened. I think you could handle it.

It'd be the only time I wasn't angry that I was stuck in a turbolift.

[He's fairly sure they could look like two respectable Starfleet officers when they were done, as long as Una had her hair up.]

We're finishing it at least once in the turbolift.

( that makes her laugh slightly, shifting a little in how she's laid against him. yeah, it could be a problem for both of them... unless they got creative about hiding those sounds )

I also wouldn't mind taking a walk when we get to the base. I normally don't mind staying here on leave-- ( actually, she tends to prefer it ) But after the past few weeks a walk in different scenery would be nice.

As long as you don't mind me walking with you.

I wouldn't be opposed to the ideas. If I remember right this starbase has some nice gardens to walk in.

It's the best I'm getting to a walk on a planet. I can't complain too much to it. Or the company.

It'll be nice, and almost feel like the outdoors and everything.

I'm glad you were here through it even if it wasn't easy.

( even if she was difficult, especially at first. she isn't good at sitting still especially when she physically needs to, when she wants to try and do something but is limited )

[She gets a laugh as he pulls her closer.]

I didn't really want to be anywhere else, and you weren't so bad. Just a little cranky, but I would be too if I was stuck in my quarters when I didn't want to be.

A little cranky sounds kind.

( she'd definitely complained a lot, had been more argumentative with him if only to be kinder to m'benga, though the doctor would have been more effective at dragging her off back to sickbay and that she really didn't want )

Though the next planet we come across you're sending me on the mission. I need to walk somewhere that isn't these walls.

There were a few days where we got very close to a lot cranky.

[He didn't seem particularly bothered when it was going on, and doesn't seem like he minded now either. It was just something that happened.]

I promise, you're the first one off the ship, and I'll make sure to keep things running smoothly up here.

You'd better, I want a ship to come back to.

( she's very protective over the enterprise, though when it's the first ship you ever served on (even just briefly) you have a bit of a thing with her. enterprise isn't her ship... but it's her ship )

It doesn't have to be a long mission, just somewhere to walk.

I try not to let things happen to her.

[He's not always successful, but he tries to keep Enterprise in one piece.]
